Creative solution to fast fashion

And — you don’t have to select a size anymore

There is one thing we know we are guilty, but we still doing — buying more clothes than you ever need. After all, who doesn’t love a restyle, perhaps for the next date or a nice Instagram shoot?

The average American has more than 100 items in her closet. Fast fashion items are not durable and relatively cheap, which makes consumers very tempted to get new, in season items, abandoning the pair of jeans that you got last year.

During the pandemic, many shops are closed and people switched to online shopping. If you are a shopaholic like me, you know brands never agree on sizes and most of the items on your basket is going wrong. “Well I can always return it.” Removing the guilt of spending more money despite staying at home, but unfortunately not the carbon footprint of shipping and 10 layers of wrapping paper/plastic because apparently we wear those too.

So what’s better than that?

I found this website called DressX, where you buy “virtual clothes” that they photoshop on your pictures, so you get Instagrammable pictures with exotic, gorgeous outfits without killing planet Earth. And — you don’t have to select a size anymore, which is definitely a plus for people like me, how has always been anxious about my body.

(Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with them, I found the website from Youtube video.)
